The Bafana Bafana assistance coach, Janeskvi Cedomir, has tested
positive for Covid-19.
According
to a statement released by SAFA, the Bafana Bafana medical team has conducted
their second Covid-19 tests on Tuesday for the entire team ahead of their
friendly match against Uganda on Thursday. This game would kick-off at 6 pm in
the Orlando Stadium.
When
Covid-19 tests came out, the Bafana Bafana assistant coach, Janevski Cedomir,
tested positive while the rest of his colleagues and players tested
negative.
The
squad doctor, Tshepo Molobi, said they would continue to monitor everyone in the camp.
"We
continue to check for clinical symptoms and encourage the staff to wear masks
without failure, practice social distance, and everyone is accommodated
separately.’’
Last week, the medical team has also ruled out six players who tested positive for the Covid-19. Among those players includes Pacy Tau, Teboho Mokoena, Sipho Mbuli, Mosa Lebusa, Mothobi Mvala, and Rivaldo Coetzee.
