SAFA announced its new ethics committee and integrity office.

SAFA has announced its new Ethical Committee and integrity office and on Wednesday, 30 June 2021.

SAFA President, Danny Jordaan, said the ethical committee and integrity office would help to strengthen the governance of SAFA. 

" If the South African football is organized, in the context of CAF and  FIFA. Therefore we have to align ourselves and be consistent with what is happening in FIFA and CAF. As South Africa, if we want to be the leading federations on the continent, then we must start leading from every front." Jordaan said. 

SAFA Ethics Committee Chairperson, Judge Sissy Khampepe, said protecting the integrity of SAFA is what has attracted her to take this position.

 "The ethics committee comprised of two chambers; the investigatory chamber and the adjudicatory chamber. Its role is to ensure that the integrity and reputation of SAFA as an institution is safeguarded, and that is what attracted me to accept this position."

The officer of the integrity committee, Alex Abercrombie, said the duties of an integrity office would be there to protect the integrity of the game.

" We will look at things such as match manipulation. We're working with National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on several issues. the point that I'm trying to make here is that referees, players, and people who are sport bearing syndicate should know that we're  watching them."  Alex said.

The event was on Friday, 20 September at Ekhaya Multi-Arts Centre to discuss teenage pregnancy, drugs, prostitution, HIV and AIDS. Spain thrashed Switzerland 3-1 to reach the Semi-Finals

Mdunge Skhumbuzo Spain has defeated Switzerland 3-1 in the penalty shoot-out to advance in the Semi-Finals. After an enthralling match that ended 1-1 at the Krestovsky stadium, Switzerland went to extra time with the one man down after Romo Freuler (a defensive midfielder) received a red card in the 77th minute. In the semi-finals, Spain will face Italy, which also defeated Belgium to advance in the next round.  The Spanish coach, Luis Enrique, said he still believes they are one of the favorites teams who can win the trophy. "I always said, we were one of the favorite teams who can win the trophy, but of course that is going to depend on our performance. Now, we're in the last four, and that is fantastic.
